Released on August 8, 2016, "Slimeball" is a compelling mixtape by Atlanta rapper Young Nudy, hosted by Hoodrich Keem and premiered on LiveMixtapes. This project marked a significant point in Nudy's career, showcasing his raw lyrical talent and his ability to convey the gritty realities of street life through a distinctive flow and engaging storytelling.

The mixtape begins with "Sweep / Intro," setting a strong and dark tone that permeates the entire project. Nudy’s unique voice and flow immediately draw listeners into his world. Following up, "Ain’t Playin'" produced by Metro Boomin, features hard-hitting beats that perfectly complement Nudy’s aggressive and direct delivery, emphasizing his no-nonsense approach to life and music.

"Trapaholic" and "Real Right" continue to build on this foundation, with Nudy articulating his experiences and street wisdom over compelling beats, capturing the essence of the trap lifestyle. "Butt Naked Bitches," produced by Pierre Bourne, shifts the atmosphere slightly with a lighter, more playful beat, yet the lyrics remain steeped in the realities Nudy portrays.

"Jugg" and "Been Thuggin'" are standout tracks where Nudy’s storytelling shines, detailing his journey and survival strategies in the streets of Atlanta. "Spaced Out" offers a glimpse into Nudy's introspective side, layered over a haunting beat that enhances the track's reflective mood.

"Nun Like This," another production by Pierre Bourne, is perhaps one of the mixtape’s highlights, showcasing a perfect synergy between Bourne’s distinctive, melodic production style and Nudy’s lyrical prowess. "Don't Trust Y'all" introduces a cautious narrative about disloyalty and deceit, themes that are prevalent throughout the tape.

"Bad News," featuring Tip, adds a dynamic collaboration to the mix, while "Yeah Yeah" elevates the energy with its catchy chorus and vibrant beat. "Rough Life" delves deeper into Nudy’s personal struggles and the harsh realities he has faced, providing a stark contrast to the more braggadocious tracks.

The mixtape concludes with "Ice Chain" as a bonus track, rounding out the project with a celebration of Nudy’s achievements against the odds, wrapped in icy metaphors and slick production.

"Slimeball" by Young Nudy is an unfiltered portrayal of life on the streets of Atlanta, delivered through his vivid storytelling and unique sound. This mixtape not only solidified Nudy’s place in the Atlanta rap scene but also highlighted his potential as a major voice in trap music, offering a raw, unapologetic glimpse into the complexities of his world. It remains a crucial work for understanding the depth and breadth of Young Nudy's artistry.%videos
